Paid but never got the orthotics!!

I bought orthotics in May and never received them. I have called multiple times and left messages. I left messages on their "Contact Us" page. I am still waiting and wondering how a company can steal your money like this and not suffer the repercussions. Doctors Orthotics needs to check their messages and take care of their potential clients.

Wont deliver new orthodics after years of good service

I have used this service for years and bought 8 pairs of orthotics with no problems until last Oct. I paid for and ordered two pair for ~ $500. They never delivered the impression boxes until I bugged them for 6 months. They finally sent the impression boxes, but after I returned them two months ago, they will not return my calls/emails.

I have had plantar fasciitis problems for years due to extremely high arches. I am 6 ft 3 inches tall and weigh 360 lbs. When your feet hurt there is nothing you will not try to fix them.

For years I have not happy with the locally made custom orthotics I have been getting from a local supply house my podiatrist recommended. They make artificial limbs and things. Their process starts with plaster foot cast while sitting down and then the orthotics were made of layered cork and different foams from that foot cast. They were thick and elevated me a inch or so. It felt like standing on the edge of a curb.

Like I said above "When your feet hurt there is nothing you will not try to fix them." So I called Dr. Goldstein at Doctors Orthotics and discussed his fitting and manufacturing processes. I decided to purchasing two identical pairs of custom carbon fiber foot orthotics 18 months ago.

Doctors orthhotic uses box with memory foam to make a foot mold. I stepped into the box foam at the end of the day. That way my tired feet made a perfect mold.

I received the first pair around 3 to 4 weeks later. Why make two pair right away if they don't fit. Doctor Goldstein called me a week or two later and asked how they fit. I told him they fit correctly and they were the most comfortable I have ever owned. He said I would receive the other pair in a week or two.

From the first day I received them they have been the best orthotics I ever worn. They fit correctly from day one. No foot sores or anything. They cupped my feet and I didn't even know I was wearing them. The carbon fiber gives them their strength.

I wear them every day. I walk allot and ride my bike (2300 miles in last year). I noticed the orthotic cover in one has a wear spot. Today I called Dr Goldstein and arranged to send one pair back for a new covers. I had to do this with my old cork and foam orthotics once a year.

I am telling you my expirience with Doctors Orthotics has been top notch. I can't say enough about his service and the quality of the orthotics, If and when mine ever wear out I will buy my next pairs from Doctors Orthotics.

My orthotics needed to be recovered. Call Ron and he told where to send for repair.

I sent them in whith in a few hours of getting the information. USPS Tracking showed he received them a few days latter. He charged my credit card faster than I could hang up the telephone. He said I would get them back in 10 days.

After 2 to 3 weeks I called him to ask where they my orthotics were. He said they received them, but that the USPS machines had mangled them. That he would make me a new pair and I would get them in 10 days. 2two weeks latter nothing!

I called Ron again and he yold me his computer system had been hacked. That he would make a new pair and I would them in 10 days. You know the answer. I GOT NOTHING.

Once again I called him 17 days latter and he tried the hacking story. I told he had usef that one two weeks ago. Tge machine ate them 4 to 5 weeks ago. He promised he would get me news ones.

Ithink he charges and delays to get past the 60 day charge back contesting period. So I am out a $300 dollar pair of foot or orthotics and the $100 dollar recondition fee. Yes I got the use of them for 1-1/4 years. All they needed was a simple recovering.

I should have bought the cover material online and recovered them myself. I will not be doing business with him again.

I have ordered from Doctors Orthotics for many years for me, my family and friends. I have had good results (able to complete 50 marathons with disabling orthopedic problems), good service and helpful products. I fell from a ladder in 2016 and had three foot surgeries, pins and screws and now am able to walk without pain with their orthotics. I don't usually write reviews- I am too busy- but those with a bone to pick do or perhaps even competitors. For me and my family and friends, Doctors orthotics has been an honest, reliable and beneficial company. I also have had two knee surgeries on my right knee and one on the left, both medial meniscectomies.

Believe the bad reviews

I know what you’re thinking; yeah, I’ve seen some bad reviews, but I’ve also seen good ones. Well, believe the bad; I wish I had.

Upon first ordering my orthotics, everything seemed to go smoothly, and exactly as detailed. I returned the impressions, and then the problems began. It took months to get the orthotics, for which I had paid upfront. During that time, it was next to impossible to get any customer service, since the phone is never answered.

After finally having some luck with the live chat feature on the website, I would get a call from the “doctor,” who would make excuses and promises, and then nothing. Once I finally did receive the orthotics, they seemed good. However, in less than three months, they began to tear. Repeated attempts to contact the company were ignored, so I filed a complaint with the BBB.

Apparently, this company has stopped even trying to seem legitimate, and did not respond to the complaint. I know it seems like a good deal compared to your podiatrist’s office, but this business will not back up their product (if you get it in the first place).

I ordered and they charged my credit card back on 7/31. I sent the molds in and have yet to receive the orthotics or any response. I have sent many emails and left numerous phone calls that have never been returned.

2+ months later, I received a very cryptic email from Ron - "Your orthotics will ship today. Our mistake." I received the orthotics 4 days later - they were new, and had a very different fit in the arch (as I suspected, the originals they sent me were not built for my feet).

No explanation, no apology. Their action on this coincided nicely with the BBB reaching out to them on my behalf - I filed a formal complaint with the BBB and that did the trick.

Ron (Dr. Goldstein) very quickly calls you back when you first inquire about their product. He'll charge your credit card and then send you a mold kit. He might get back to you after several weeks, if you call every day, and finally send you your orthotics. When my orthotics arrived, they just didn't fit - felt way too wide/big. I got Ron to call me back about it and he said try them for the recommended 30 days. I did, they didn't feel any better. Then, Ron told me to return them for adjustment. Several weeks ago I sent them to the address he gave me and have not heard a word from him since. They don't return calls, respond to emails, never answer their phones. They now have my $300 and the orthotics. Have filed a complaint with the BBB. We'll see if that gets me anywhere. And, yes, I am a REAL customer, out $300 and limping on a Morton's neuroma, while I wait to see what Dr. Goldstein intends to do...

Beware - the bad reviews were right

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I took a chance on this company hoping to solve my foot pain problems. I felt like Doctors Orthotics were priced a bit lower then other online companies. So I gave them a shot and ordered 3 pairs (casual, running and dress). The whole "send a foot imprint kind in 48 hours" is a lie. It took me 4 weeks and 4 phone calls to even get the imprint kit to me. They kept blaming the postal service for them not showing up which is just ridiculous considering not only did I provide my address at the time of ordering, but I also gave it to them on the phone 4 separate times. I figured it would take a couple weeks to make them after I sent them my kit back. Four and a half weeks later I hadn't heard anything. Calling them is worthless. You are pushed straight to a voice mail. If you do get a call back "Ron from Doctors Orthotics" acts like you are inconveniencing him by making him call you back. The phone number from them is also blocked so you can't call them back. It took several voice mails and a threat to contact my credit card company about a charge back before I heard anything. I finally get a call saying they were hit with a Virus and that is why everything is delayed, even though I had zero communication from them. So 10 weeks after ordering some insoles arrive and they are too small for my feet even though I confirmed my foot size at the time of order and verbally over the phone. So then I have to send them back to get them altered. Another 4 weeks go by and I start calling daily to get a response. I finally get a voice mail saying they shipped and should be to me in a day or two. Well 10 days later they finally show up. Overall the insoles seem of marginal quality compared to another pair I purchased while this whole fiasco was taking place. Long story short is to try someone else. Customer service is crap, takes forever to get the insoles, and when they show up they are going to be the wrong size. Start to finish it took me 4 months to get insoles from them. Seriously do not do business with this company, It's not worth your time or money.

Same experience - they took my money, sent me poor fitting orthotics and then told me to return them to be adjusted. Now, they have my money, and my orthotics and are ghosting me.

No reply to emails, voicemails, their live-chat feature on the website is never available. Not sure what to do now.

Chase won't help me and my insurer doesn't cover orthotics. I guess I'm out $300.

I could probably push the duplicate button on this one. Its funny, as I could have written the exact thing myself. Except, I now I still cannot get in touch with them.

Buyer beware - no delivery or communication - read the reviews

Did not receive item after 4 months, they do not answer phone calls and stopped returning my messages. I was unable to even get a refund, and had to go through my CCard company to do a chargeback. I should have listened to the other reviews here...

Stole my money

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Paid for $300 for orthotics for my son's. Sent the molds back and they never shipped. Keep getting the run around. We are talking 5+ months from when molds were sent back. Called left many many messages dozens over the months, but only 2 -3 time someone returns the call. Ron I think is the owner, he tells the same story about stolen or hacked credit card information and then promises to ship soon. it's been more than a month since the last conversation. This place is should not be trusted. No one ever anwers the phone you have to leave a voice mail and hope someone calls you back. Does not matter what time you call. They clearly want to avoid all the people they stole money from.

Never Sent Orthotics

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Had to dispute charge with credit card after waiting 4 months and still no delivery of the orthotics. The “Doctor” called one two separate months and each time said they were “on the way”. They are a joke. Thank goodness VISA makes it easy to get the money back.

Great Orthotics

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I just recently got my custom orthotics from Doctors Orthotics and they fit great. I have Morton's Neuroma and so far the orthotics seem to solve my problem. I've never ordered orthotics online before and thought I would try this time because of the pricing. I saved 50% from the price I would have paid if I would have gone to my podiatrist. I got my completed orthotics in 3 weeks. Down the road, I think I will order another pair to use in my tennis shoes. With their pricing, I am getting 2 pairs of orthotics for a little less than what I would have to pay my podiatrist. Needless to say I am very happy I made the purchase. Like

Good company with a great product. I own two pairs.

I do not believe this person at all. Sounds fraudulent to me. Sounds like a low class Competitor hitting below the belt. I’ve worn for a long time and they still feel great.

I have referred both family and friends without any complaints. I guess you can’t please them all.

Absolutely Horrible!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
This is a horrible company. I couldn’t have had a worse experience. I have worn orthotics for the past 10 years that we’re made through my podiatrist. I needed new ones, and was impressed by the specific running orthotics that this site had. I run, and am very active with my job, and rely on orthopedic completely. It took a week to receive the mold kit. Their site said it would arrive in 2 business days. Their site says that they will call you after you have placed your order. They never did. I finally called. No one ever answers their phone. They call back hours later, so you end up playing phone tag for days. I included details about my feet when I mailed in the mold kit. I overpronate, and have hammer toe issues, so need metatarsal support. I didn’t receive my orthotics until almost 2 months. I couldn’t have been more shocked at how flimsy the product was, and how it did nothing practically to counter my overpronation. Their were no metatarsal supports, and the insole portion was too short.i had paid around $230. ( wth just bogus sale that they have all thrive) I gave them a try for 2 weeks. I was in so much pain when I ran. My entire body hurt, including my knees, and feet. My bunions began advancing, as well as my hammer ties; something that had ceased 10 years ago. It was taking me days to recover after going on hikes and backpacking trips for my job. I have emailed them, called them, and finally gotten someone to speak to me when I messaged them on their online messaging system. They said that “the doctor woyld call me back.” They have never called me back. Look them up on the Better Buisness Bureau. I have filed a complaint. Don’t fall for this company. They will steal your money!!

Nothing bogus it. Just because you had a good experience doesn’t mean that someone else can have a bad one.

They never reploed it called me back with any of my issues. In fact, they have ignored all communication from the Better Business Bureau.

Feel free to look them up on there. You probably work for them.
